Flying to WAM!

Bitch on Wheels blog post by Debbie Rasmussen, March 27, 2008 - 8:08pm; tagged conferences, dogs, on the road, unions, WAM!, WAM! 2008.

In the frenzy of preparing for my first Women, Action, and the Media (WAM!) conference, I'd arranged a flight that arrived in Boston a day before the conference actually began. Not cool since my hotel room share wasn't starting until tomorrow.

I wasn't too worried because I had a layover in Minneapolis and I managed to convince myself that surely the fine folks at Northwest would let me bump my flight to tomorrow and let me spend a day with my mom.

Dogged Pessimism blog post by Andi Zeisler, February 11, 2008 - 6:39pm; tagged dogs.

The New York Times continues to kill with its abundance of dog coverage. (Warning: If you don't want to hear anything about chilled canine semen, stay away.)

A very doggy weekend

Dogged Pessimism blog post by Andi Zeisler, February 2, 2008 - 7:55pm; tagged dogs, events.

oscar, maeby, and kasha

Lots of dog news this weekend. First and most notable is the New York Times story and photo essay on the dogs rescued from Michael Vick's dogfighting operation last year, many of whom are now residing at the Best Friends Sanctuary in Utah. (The dogs at that sanctuary are the main focus of the piece, but it should also be noted that 10 of the dogs are in the care of awesome Bay Area nonprofit BAD RAP.)

Jarred brains and Boston chill

Bitch on Wheels blog post by Debbie Rasmussen, October 10, 2007 - 3:23pm; tagged dogs, jarred body parts, on the road.

Last night's cranberry salsa was delicious, but after four days of party food, we both felt like an infusion of vegetables was in order. So we ate salads, kale soup, and carrot juice for breakfast.

And I took one last pumpkin photo.
